Kelly Chircop, CPA, MBA - Founder/Owner
Kelly grew up in the central valley of California but always knew the mountains were her home. Kelly attended the University of Notre Dame, graduating magna cum laude in Accounting in 2000. She additionally obtained her Master of Business Administration from Idaho State University in 2008. Kelly started the accounting firm in 2006 with a partner and committed to making this her future. Her partner left in 2019 to focus on her family and Kelly took over the lone role of managing a vibrant, successful practice. Kelly enjoys connecting with clients and understanding their goals.
Kelly’s two sons are the joy of her life. She loves fly-fishing, white-water rafting, skiing and just trying to keep up with her kids and adoring husband.
Sara Mellen-Stier, CPA
Sara was born and spent her early years in California before relocating to the Carolinas with her family. She graduated summa cum laude with her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of South Carolina Upstate in 2013. In addition to her degree, she received the Marian McMilan Academic Excellence Award for being the top business student in her class. She relocated to Teton Valley, Idaho after graduating and began her career in accounting with CASCADE in 2015. In 2018 Sara left the small mountain town and moved to Asheville, North Carolina to be closer to family, and works remotely from there. She oversees the preparation of the firm’s individual tax returns and helps her clients to navigate their personal tax situations. She also works closely with several small businesses throughout the area to produce accurate and helpful financial reporting. Sara currently holds her CPA license in North Carolina, where she is also a member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.
When not working, Sara enjoys spending time hiking, playing disc golf, & traveling with her husband and Jack Russell Terrier.
Lorri Byington, Enrolled Agent
Lorri grew up in Yuma, Arizona, but also lived in Virginia and Michigan before moving to Teton Valley, Idaho in the summer of 2010. Lorri began her career in accounting working for a small firm in East Lansing, Michigan. She worked for that firm for 8 years, continuing even after her move to the valley. She graduated summa cum laude with her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Stevens-Henager University in 2013. Lorri joined CASCADE in 2016 and obtained status as an Enrolled Agent with the Internal Revenue Service in 2022. Along with individual tax returns, she handles bookkeeping, payroll, and administrative duties, and above all, enjoys connecting with clients.
Outside of work, Lorri spends time reading, hanging out with her chickens, dogs, and goats; and most importantly, loves spending quality time with her family & 5 grandchildren.
Casey Singer, Office Executive
Casey moved to the Valley full-time in 2005 after falling in love with the Tetons in 1989. Growing up in California, her family came here every year to ski and she was able to watch the valley grow. She graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2004 with a Marketing Degree and has done everything from wine sales, food and beverage management, golf course membership and marketing, bookkeeping, and interior design. She made her way to CASCADE in the summer of 2019 and has loved being able to live and work in the Valley. Casey handles the business side of CASCADE as well as a number of payroll and bookkeeping clients and shares administrative tasks. She loves the relationships built with clients and the tightness of the CASCADE team.
Although skiing is what brought Casey to Teton Valley, her true passions lie on the dance floor and the golf course. She teaches country dancing and is constantly working on her handicap. She loves her tight-knit family, traveling, and spending time on the water.
